Waves of Undead: The Soft Launch
The fictional events of Waves of Undead took place between June 30–July 1, 2018—making this the perfect time to soak up those summer vibes…before all hell breaks loose. Here’s what to expect from my staggered book launch.
03 June 2025
As of today, June 3rd, I will begin taking preorders here on my website for paperbacks sustainably printed at Hemlock Printers. Signed copies and book bundles will be available exclusively on my website, as well as greeting card reproductions of some of my paintings.
14 June 2025
Paperback preorders will begin shipping out. If you order a book bundle, be prepared for a special unboxing experience!
15 June 2025
My first in-person event! Vancouver friends, skip the shipping and meet me at End Times Garage Sale. I may or may not be dressed like I belong at the end of times…
Ebooks are on the horizon
Waves of Undead will hit Amazon Kindle + Kindle Unlimited this month. After 90 days on KU, I’ll likely creep into other ebook platforms. Stay tuned.
Date to be announced
Prefer ordering through Amazon? I’ve got you.
Print-on-demand paperback copies will also be available through Amazon. No extra goodies, no signature—just the book, shipped fast and fresh (unlike the undead).
Date to be announced.
Why both locally printed and print-on-demand (POD)?
Because it’s important to me to find a balance between sustainability and accessibility.
The locally printed edition is produced on FSC-certified paper by one of the greenest print shops in North America: Hemlock Printers. This reflects my hope to be an environmentally conscious author and creator.
At the same time, I want to make the book available to readers beyond my region at a fair price. Print-on-demand helps with that — it allows for more affordable shipping and makes the book accessible on platforms like Amazon, where pricing structure and logistics differ.
By offering both options, I hope to meet readers where they are — whether you value the premium feel and eco-consciousness of the local edition, or prefer the convenience and reach of POD.
This is phase one of the outbreak. Are you ready?
My Writing Routine – Welcoming Flexibility through Life’s Chapters
Have you ever wanted something so badly that you were willing to wake up at 4 AM for it? Never mind the 5 AM club. Get that work done at the witching hour or not at all.
That’s how writing used to be for me. I’d wake up hours before work, so I had time to stretch, make my coffee, and then sit down to an hour of writing before working out and then readying myself for the day.
I loved this routine. Back then I was convinced that the only time I could write was first thing in the morning before anything else stole my concentration. It worked for me in that era of my life, and I certainly didn’t have the brainpower to write after a mentally taxing day in the office.
In the current chapter of my life, writing looks completely different. As a stay at home mom and the primary caretaker for my son, I no longer have access to that witching hour and all its private productivity glory. Now I write during his nap time, usually with my son cuddled up to me in his sleep. It’s stolen moments, quickly jotting notes down when they pop into my head. It’s shutting myself in the bedroom to type away while Nana has a play date with the little one.
Life as a fairly new parent has changed my approach to writing, but I’m still in the game and excited to see all the hard work I did during that era of 4 AM wake ups has transformed into something tangible: my debut novel Waves of Undead is in its final stages of production and will be available in spring, 2025! Check back in or follow my social media feeds for more updates. I’m hoping to announce the release and pre-order dates soon!
